Gearing up for Quakecon 2010

It’s that time of year again where the PC Perspective team heads out to Dallas for the annual Quakecon gaming event. Thousands of gamers from all over the world come to this free event to play in one of the largest LAN parties on Earth. I’m a staff writer at PCPer.com and we are hosting this year’s case mod contest as well as a hardware workshop for the second year in a row. Here are a few flyers I created for the event. Very inspiring case mod from back in the day

So, when I first started getting into computers, my passion was case modding. This basically means that I liked to take a regular PC case and change it to include windows, water cooling, lights, and other neat things to make it unique. Well, one of the first case modders to inspire me was this Boblbee case mod by Paul Capello at The Best Case Scenario.com. It really challenged me to think differently about case modding and what I could do with a PC in general. Here’s a short video about the Boblbee project.

Happy Friday everyone. I’ve got a couple new website opportunities I’m working on and I hope to have a few details to share with you all over the next few weeks. Had a great year so far and have been spending alot of time learning CSS3 and HTML5 too. Need to continue learning more about integrating social networking into current web projects as well.
