Labor day weekend
Sep 3rd
Morning everyone. I haven’t posted much here over the past couple of weeks because I’ve been busy with school ramping up again as well as making updates to the Wings Over Atlanta website. I’ve also written a couple new hardware reviews for PC Perspective that should be posted on their website next week. Other than that, I’ve been researching a couple new hardware upgrades for my main office computer. Some things I’m looking to upgrade are the graphics cards and watercooling unit I used to cool my i7-920 processor. I’ll let you know what I purchase and post a few pics of it when I make a decision on those parts. Anyways, looks like we are getting a lot of rain today, but at least it will be a three-day weekend so I should have plenty of time to get lots of work done. It’s pretty sad that want a three-day weekend for work instead of fun, but that’s the life I live with one full time job and two part-time jobs. lol But, I don’t mind. I try to balance all that with my family commitments too. Hope you all have a great Labor day weekend and once I get a new HD camera I’ll be starting up my weekly web rant show again. Stay tuned.
Awarded airshow website contract
Aug 21st
Weeks after I submitted my proposal and demo, I was finally informed yesterday that I was awarded the Dobbins airshow contract. I think they initially had a funding issue, but everything is good to go now. Keep tabs on the the airshow website at http://wingsoveratlanta.com
Back from Quakecon 2010
Aug 17th
After almost 72 hours of non-stop fun, work, and seeing old friends in the computer industry, I’m finally back in my own bed. Quakecon is a great event, but it really takes it toll on me. I wish I could just hang out in the gaming area and play Call of Duty or Battlefield. Anyways, check out my Quakecon coverage at PCPer.com if you are interested in knowing more about the event.
Live web show on UStream
Aug 4th
I’m creating a weekly web show that will be broadcasted on UStream.tv very soon. The show is called Steve’s Web Rant and it will capture my thoughts on what’s going on in the world of web design, graphics, PC hardware, and social media. I will also provide my insights for making your website and graphics products come to life with new and innovative techniques that I’ve compiled throughout my 13 years in the web design and public relations industry. I’ll post the broadcast schedule once it is finalized.
Added About Me section
Aug 1st
Well, since I’m doing a lot more freelance web projects these days I thought I would beef up my website a bit. I added an “about me” page today and I’m also going to update my websites and computers sections soon too. I’m also going to add a contact page and client recommendations too. Stay tuned for more updates!
Gearing up for Quakecon 2010
Jul 23rd
It’s that time of year again where the PC Perspective team heads out to Dallas for the annual Quakecon gaming event. Thousands of gamers from all over the world come to this free event to play in one of the largest LAN parties on Earth. I’m a staff writer at PCPer.com and we are hosting this year’s case mod contest as well as a hardware workshop for the second year in a row. Here are a few flyers I created for the event. What do you think?

Happy Friday everyone. I’ve got a couple new website opportunities I’m working on and I hope to have a few details to share with you all over the next few weeks. Had a great year so far and have been spending alot of time learning CSS3 and HTML5 too. Need to continue learning more about integrating social networking into current web projects as well. Overall been a great week and will keep you updated! Steve
